Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Fostemsavir Tromethamine
Fostemsavir Tromethamine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Aegeline interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the short version: your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break down fostemsavir (Rukobia). In lab dishes, aegeline appears to slow that same enzyme down. If that held true in people, fostemsavir could clear a bit more slowly and build up, which might mean a stronger chance of side effects like nausea, headache, or changes in your heart's rhythm (QT prolongation).
That said, this is only a theoretical concern from test-tube research, never confirmed in humans, and it's rated minor. The bigger issue is aegeline itself, since it has been linked to serious liver injury and regulators have warned against it. I'd steer clear of it entirely, especially with an important HIV medicine on board. Please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before adding any supplement.

About Aegeline
What is Aegeline?
- Weight loss
- Fat burning / metabolism support
- Sports and bodybuilding supplements
- General 'energy' products
Aegeline is a compound originally identified in the bael tree (Aegle marmelos) that gained attention because it was added to some weight-loss and workout supplements. It is best known for being linked to serious liver injury in a product called OxyELITE Pro, and U.S. regulators warned against products containing it. There is no good evidence it safely helps with weight loss, and it should generally be avoided.
