Here's the simple version: Ramipril already lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels. Agmatine, based mostly on animal studies, may gently nudge your blood pressure and heart rate down too. Stack the two together and those small effects could add up, leaving you a bit lower than expected.

If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or woozy when you stand up quickly. To be clear, this is a theoretical concern from lab and animal research, not something proven in people, so I don't want you to panic. Still, since blood pressure is involved, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding agmatine, and let them know if you feel unusually faint.

What Is Ramipril Used For?

Brand name: Altace

Ramipril capsules are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), either alone or combined with a thiazide diuretic (water pill). Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke.

In adults 55 and older at high cardiovascular risk, ramipril capsules are used to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, or death from cardiovascular causes. Ramipril capsules are also used in stable patients who develop signs of heart failure within the first days after a heart attack, to lower the risk of death and hospitalization related to heart failure.
