Activella is a hormone therapy that combines estradiol (an estrogen) with norethindrone (a progestin), often used to ease menopause symptoms like hot flashes. Here's the wrinkle with alfalfa: it contains plant-based estrogen-like compounds called coumestrol and isoflavonoids. In theory, these could add a little extra estrogen-like activity on top of your prescription, which might slightly affect how your hormone therapy works or contribute to estrogen-related effects like breast tenderness, bloating, or spotting.

I want to be straight with you though: this concern is theoretical, based on what we know about alfalfa's chemistry rather than real-world cases. Food amounts of alfalfa sprouts are unlikely to matter much; concentrated supplements are the bigger question mark. Before adding an alfalfa supplement, check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
