Alfalfa + Lomefloxacin
Lomefloxacin brand name: Maxaquin.
Alfalfa has a moderate interaction with Lomefloxacin. Theoretically, concomitant use of alfalfa with photosensitizing drugs might have additive effects.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS
Why this applies to Lomefloxacin
Lomefloxacin falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Alfalfa interacts with.
Animal research suggests that excessive doses of alfalfa may increase photosensitivity, possibly due to its chlorophyll content. It is unclear if this effect would be clinically relevant in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: lomefloxacin is one of those antibiotics that already makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight, so you can sunburn faster than usual while taking it. The thought is that alfalfa, thanks to its chlorophyll, might add to that sun sensitivity if you take a lot of it. So in theory the two together could mean a quicker, easier sunburn or rash on exposed skin.
I want to be honest about how weak this concern is. It comes from animal studies using high doses of alfalfa, and we don't actually know if it matters in people. A normal food amount almost certainly won't be an issue. If you're using concentrated alfalfa supplements, just be smart with sun protection (sunscreen, hat, covering up) and check in with your pharmacist or doctor.
