Penicillin VK falls under ANTIBIOTIC DRUGS — the group Bacillus Subtilis interacts with.

Theoretically, taking Bacillus subtilis with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. subtilis.
Since B. subtilis preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. subtilis preparations by at least 2 hours.

Here's the simple version: Penicillin VK is an antibiotic, and it doesn't tell the difference between bad bacteria and the friendly bacteria in your Bacillus subtilis probiotic. Since this supplement is made of live, active organisms, taking it at the same time as your penicillin can kill off a chunk of those probiotic bugs before they ever get to work. So the concern here is the supplement losing its punch, not your antibiotic becoming dangerous.

The good news is this is mostly a timing issue. A common suggestion is to space them out by at least 2 hours so the antibiotic isn't sitting in your gut alongside the probiotic. Your penicillin will still treat your infection normally. If you want to get the most from both, just check the spacing with your pharmacist.
