Troleandomycin falls under ANTIBIOTIC DRUGS — the group Bacillus Subtilis interacts with.

Theoretically, taking Bacillus subtilis with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. subtilis.
Since B. subtilis preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. subtilis preparations by at least 2 hours.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with this combination: Troleandomycin (Tao) is an antibiotic, and like any antibiotic, it doesn't know the difference between harmful bacteria and the friendly bacteria in your Bacillus subtilis probiotic. Since these probiotics contain live, active organisms, taking them at the same time as your antibiotic can kill off a good chunk of them. That doesn't hurt you, but it means you may not get much benefit from the probiotic.

This concern is based on how the two work together rather than hard clinical studies, so it's more theoretical than proven. The simple fix most pharmacists suggest is to space them out by at least 2 hours. Your Troleandomycin will still work the same either way. If you're unsure about timing, just ask your pharmacist.
