Here's the simple version: glutethimide (Doriden) is an older sedative, and on its own it already has some drying, anticholinergic-type effects. Belladonna brings its own strong anticholinergic punch through alkaloids like atropine and scopolamine. Stack the two together and those effects can add up, so you may notice more dry mouth, blurry vision, constipation, trouble urinating, a faster heartbeat, or feeling confused and groggy. In older folks especially, that mental fogginess and fall risk is worth watching.

I want to be honest about the evidence: this is a theoretical concern based on how both substances work, not hard clinical proof. Still, belladonna is genuinely toxic in unregulated forms, so don't combine these on your own. Please run it by your doctor or pharmacist first.
