Oseni combines two diabetes medicines: alogliptin and pioglitazone, both of which work to lower your blood sugar. Here's the idea behind this interaction. Some animal studies hint that bergamot may also have a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect of its own. So if you take a concentrated bergamot supplement alongside Oseni, the two together might push your sugar down a little more than expected.

I want to be honest: this is theoretical, based mostly on lab and animal research, not solid human studies. Eating a little bergamot fruit is very unlikely to matter. If you do start a bergamot supplement, just keep a closer eye for low blood sugar signs (shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion) and check in with your pharmacist or doctor first.
