Aspirin, Hydrocodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) interacts with.

Theoretically, BMPEA might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA strongly inhibits CYP2D6.

Here's the thing about this combo product: the hydrocodone part has to be switched on by an enzyme in your liver called CYP2D6, which turns it into a stronger painkiller (hydromorphone). BMPEA, at least in lab studies, blocks that same enzyme. So in theory, blocking CYP2D6 could mean less of the active painkiller forms, and you might notice your pain isn't as well controlled. The aspirin part isn't really affected by this enzyme.

I'll be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on test-tube data, not real people, so don't panic. But BMPEA is a risky, unapproved stimulant on its own, and mixing a stimulant with this medicine isn't something I'd recommend. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Theoretically, BMPEA might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA inhibits CYP3A4 by up to 37%.

Here's the picture with this combo pill. The hydrocodone part relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to be broken down. In lab dish studies (not people), BMPEA slowed that enzyme by a little over a third. If that held true in the body, hydrocodone could linger a bit longer and hit harder, meaning more drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or in a worst case slowed breathing. The aspirin side isn't really affected this way.

I want to be honest that this is theoretical, based on chemistry and lab data, not real patient reports. On top of that, BMPEA is a hidden amphetamine-like stimulant I'd steer clear of regardless. Please run this by your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

Beta-methylphenethylamine (BMPEA) is a synthetic stimulant chemically similar to amphetamine that has been found in some weight-loss and sports supplements, often without being clearly listed on the label.
