Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) + Effient
Effient brand name: Prasugrel.
Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) has a moderate interaction with Effient. Theoretically, BMPEA might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Effient
Effient falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) interacts with.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA inhibits CYP3A4 by up to 37%.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the wrinkle with Effient (prasugrel): it's a prodrug. That means it arrives in your body inactive, and your liver enzymes (including CYP3A4) have to switch it on before it can thin your blood and prevent clots. So when something blocks that enzyme, the picture isn't always a simple buildup.
Lab research suggests BMPEA can dampen CYP3A4 activity by around a third, which could in theory shift how much active prasugrel you make. The truth is, this is purely theoretical, based on test-tube data, not real patients, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The bigger concern is BMPEA itself: it's a hidden amphetamine-like stimulant that can spike your heart rate and blood pressure, which is the last thing you want after a heart attack. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing the two.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Effient page
“Effient (prasugrel) keeps platelets from forming clots, usually after a stent or a heart attack, and I would not pair supplements with it casually. Roughly 200 ingredients on this list can thin the blood further and raise bleeding risk, including two of the five rated major.”

About Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea)
What is Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea)?
- Weight loss
- Pre-workout energy
- Athletic performance
- Appetite suppression
- Mental focus
Beta-methylphenethylamine (BMPEA) is a synthetic stimulant chemically similar to amphetamine that has been found in some weight-loss and sports supplements, often without being clearly listed on the label. It is not an approved or well-studied dietary ingredient, and regulators have warned that it may carry real cardiovascular risks. Because of safety concerns and the lack of human research, it is best avoided.
About Prasugrel
What Is Prasugrel Used For?
Brand name: Prasugrel
Prasugrel is used to reduce blood clot–related heart events, including clots forming in a stent (stent thrombosis). It is for people with acute coronary syndrome who are going to be treated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI, a procedure to open blocked heart arteries).
This includes people with unstable angina or a non-ST-elevation heart attack (NSTEMI), and people with an ST-elevation heart attack (STEMI) treated with primary or delayed PCI. Both Effient and generic Prasugrel tablets carry this use.
