Flutamide falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) interacts with.

Theoretically, BMPEA might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA inhibits CYP3A4 by up to 37%.

Here's the basic idea with these two. Your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break down flutamide. In lab tests, BMPEA appears to slow that enzyme down by roughly a third. If that holds true in people, flutamide could clear out more slowly and build up a bit, which may nudge up the chance of side effects like nausea, diarrhea, breast tenderness, or strain on the liver (flutamide already carries a liver warning).

I want to be straight with you though: this is a theoretical concern based only on test-tube work, not real patient cases. The bigger issue is that BMPEA is an unapproved amphetamine-like stimulant with real heart and blood pressure risks, so I'd steer clear of it regardless. Please run any supplement by your pharmacist or oncologist first.

What Is Flutamide Used For?

Brand names: Eulexin, Euflex

Eulexin (flutamide) capsules are used to treat prostate cancer in men. They are always used together with an LHRH agonist (a hormone-lowering injection), never alone.

Eulexin is indicated for two stages of prostate cancer: locally confined Stage B2-C prostate cancer (used alongside goserelin acetate and radiation therapy, starting eight weeks before radiation begins) and Stage D2 metastatic prostate cancer (cancer that has spread beyond the prostate, taken with an LHRH agonist until the disease progresses).
