Here's the thing about Vicoprofen: the hydrocodone part is actually a prodrug. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to convert some of it into hydromorphone, which adds to the pain relief. In lab studies, BMPEA appears to block that same enzyme. So in theory, taking them together could mean less of that converted active form, and you might notice the pain control feels weaker than expected.

I want to be honest that this is theoretical, based on test-tube research, not real people. The bigger worry for me is BMPEA itself. It's an amphetamine-like stimulant that can raise heart rate and blood pressure, which is risky to mix with any opioid. I'd skip BMPEA and check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

Here's the idea behind this pairing. Your Vicoprofen contains hydrocodone, an opioid pain reliever that your liver partly processes using an enzyme called CYP3A4. Lab (test tube) studies suggest BMPEA can block that enzyme by around a third. If that held true in people, hydrocodone could clear a bit more slowly and build up, which might mean stronger opioid effects like extra drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or slowed breathing.

I'll be honest, this is theoretical and comes only from lab data, not real patients, so the actual risk is uncertain. My bigger concern is BMPEA itself. It's an amphetamine-like stimulant that can raise heart rate and blood pressure, and it's a poor mix with an opioid. Please run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
