Mephenytoin falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Boswellia Serrata interacts with.

Theoretically, Boswellia serrata might increase the levels of CYP2C9 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Boswellia serrata gum resin inhibits CYP2C9 enzymes.

Here's the gist for Mephenytoin (Mesantoin), an older seizure medicine. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2C9 to help clear this drug from your body. In lab studies, boswellic acids from Boswellia serrata seem to slow that same enzyme down. If that happened in a real person, mephenytoin could build up a bit higher than usual.

With more drug hanging around, you might notice things like drowsiness, dizziness, unsteady walking, slurred speech, or blurred or double vision. I want to be honest though: this concern comes only from test-tube research, not from people, so it's theoretical. Still, since seizure meds can be touchy, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them. Don't stop anything on your own.
