Biperiden falls under ANTICHOLINERGIC DRUGS — the group Boxwood interacts with.

Evidence from in vitro research suggests that boxwood extract can inhibit acetylcholinesterase activity. Theoretically, concurrent use of anticholinergic drugs and boxwood might decrease the effectiveness of boxwood or the anticholinergic agent.

Here's the short version: Biperiden works by blocking acetylcholine, which helps ease the tremors and stiffness of Parkinson's-type symptoms. Boxwood, on the other hand, has shown in lab dishes that it can do the opposite, nudging acetylcholine levels back up by slowing the enzyme that breaks it down. So in theory, the two could partly cancel each other out, meaning your Biperiden might not control symptoms quite as well.

I want to be honest with you though: this is only based on test-tube research, not real people, so we don't truly know if it matters in the body. Boxwood is also genuinely toxic and not something I'd recommend taking. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing the two.
