Here's the short version: Jentadueto XR (linagliptin plus metformin) works to lower your blood sugar. Bupleurum may pull in the opposite direction. In animal studies, the saikosaponins in this root nudged blood sugar upward, so in theory it could blunt how well your diabetes medicine keeps your numbers down.

If that happened, you might notice your readings creeping higher than usual, along with things like extra thirst, more bathroom trips, or feeling worn out. I'll be honest with you though: this is a theoretical concern based on lab and animal work, not strong human data. Still, since steady glucose control matters, please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before adding bupleurum, and keep checking your sugars.
