Insulin Degludec, Liraglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Chirata interacts with.

Theoretically, taking chirata concomitantly with antidiabetes drugs may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
In non-fasted animals pretreated with the hypoglycemic drug tolbutamide, taking chirata 250 mg/kg decreased blood glucose levels. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.

Xultophy combines a long-acting basal insulin (insulin degludec) with a GLP-1 medicine (liraglutide), and both already work to lower your blood sugar. The concern here is simple: chirata may also nudge blood sugar down on its own. Stack that on top of your Xultophy, and the two together could push your sugar lower than you want, raising the odds of hypoglycemia (shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion, or a fast heartbeat).

I'll be honest, though, this is mostly theoretical and comes from an animal study, not from people. It's a reasonable thing to be aware of, not something to panic over. If you'd like to try chirata, check your blood sugar a bit more closely at first and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before starting. Don't change your insulin dose on your own.
