Here's the simple version: amlodipine (Istin) already lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels. The omega-3s in cod liver oil can nudge blood pressure down a little too. Put them together and those two effects can stack, so your pressure may drift lower than expected.

What that might feel like is dizziness, lightheadedness when you stand up, headache, or feeling unusually tired. To be fair, this is mostly a theoretical, additive concern, and everyday food or a modest fish oil dose usually won't cause trouble. Still, if you take amlodipine and want to add cod liver oil regularly, check in with your pharmacist or doctor first, and let them know if you notice the symptoms above. Don't change your blood pressure medicine on your own.
