Esomeprazole, Naproxen falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Coriander interacts with.

Theoretically, coriander might increase the risk of photosensitivity when taken with photosensitizing drugs.

Here's the deal with Vimovo, which combines naproxen (an anti-inflammatory) and esomeprazole (a stomach-acid reducer). Naproxen on its own can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, so some people get sunburned more easily or develop a rash on sun-exposed areas. Coriander contains a compound called coriandrin that, at least in lab studies, may also bump up sun sensitivity.

Putting them together could theoretically add to that effect, but I want to be honest: this is based on anecdotal and test-tube evidence, not solid human studies. Cooking with cilantro or coriander spice is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated extracts or essential oils are more of a question mark. Either way, using sunscreen is smart, and check with your pharmacist if you have concerns.
