Phenobarbital is a barbiturate, which means it already slows down your brain and nervous system. It's commonly used to control seizures or as a sedative, and on its own it can make you feel drowsy, slow your breathing, and affect your coordination. The concern here is simple: coriander may have mild calming or sedative effects of its own, so in theory pairing the two could add up and leave you more sleepy or sluggish than expected.

The good news is that this is based only on animal research, not human studies, and the everyday amount of cilantro or coriander you'd use in cooking is very unlikely to cause any noticeable problem. Concentrated coriander extracts or essential oils are a different story. If you take those regularly, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on how drowsy you feel.
