Belladonna, Caffeine, Ergotamine, Pentobarbital falls under ANTICONVULSANTS — the group Dendrobium interacts with.

The dendrobium constituent dendrobine is reported to have convulsant effects. Theoretically, combining dendrobium with anticonvulsant drugs might decrease drug effectiveness and increase the risk of seizure. Some anticonvulsant drugs include phenobarbital, primidone (Mysoline), valproic acid (Depakene), gabapentin (Neurontin), carbamazepine (Tegretol), phenytoin (Dilantin), and others.

Here's the piece worth knowing about your Micomp PB. The pentobarbital in it is a barbiturate that calms the nervous system, and it can also raise your seizure threshold (meaning it makes seizures less likely). Dendrobium contains a compound called dendrobine that, at least in lab settings, seems to do the opposite and may provoke convulsant activity. So in theory, taking concentrated Dendrobium supplements could work against that calming, protective effect.

I want to be honest about the strength of this concern: it's theoretical, based on how these compounds behave in the lab, not on real patient reports. Still, if you take this medicine for seizure-related reasons, I'd rather you not gamble. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding Dendrobium, and don't change your prescription on your own.
