Here's the gist with these two. Enalapril already works to lower your blood pressure, and one compound in Dendrobium called dendrobine has been reported to nudge blood pressure down too. Stack them together and, in theory, the lowering effect could add up a bit more than you expect.

I want to keep this in perspective, though. This concern comes from basic pharmacology and lab work, not from real cases in people, so the evidence is weak and the risk is rated minor. If you do try Dendrobium, just keep an eye out for signs your pressure dipped too low, like feeling dizzy, lightheaded, faint, or unusually tired when you stand up. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if your blood pressure already runs on the lower side.

About Enalapril

What Is Enalapril Used For?

Brand names: Vasotec, Epaned

Enalapril is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children older than one month, and to treat symptomatic heart failure. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of stroke and heart attack.

It is also used for asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction — when the heart's pumping ability is reduced but the person doesn't yet have obvious heart failure symptoms — to slow the progression to overt heart failure and reduce hospitalizations. Enalapril maleate oral solution (including Epaned) and enalapril maleate tablets (including Vasotec) share these three approved uses.
