Medroxyprogesterone Acetate, Oestrogens, Conjugated falls under ESTROGENS — the group Equol interacts with.

Theoretically, equol might increase the levels and clinical effects of estrogens.
In vitro research shows that equol inhibits the binding of estradiol to serum proteins. Theoretically, this might increase the concentration of free, bioactive estradiol, thereby increasing the risk of adverse effects from estrogen replacement therapy, including headaches, breast tenderness, and weight gain.

Premique combines conjugated estrogens with the progestin medroxyprogesterone, and it's often used to ease menopause symptoms. Here's the thing about equol: in lab studies, it loosened the grip that blood proteins normally have on estrogen. In theory, that could leave a little more free, active estrogen floating around, which might nudge up the usual estrogen-related side effects you can get from Premique, things like headaches, sore or tender breasts, bloating, or some weight gain.

I want to be honest with you about the strength of this. This is based only on test-tube research, not real people, so it's more of a 'might happen' than a proven problem. Still, since both equol and Premique act on estrogen pathways, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
