Budesonide, Formoterol falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) SUBSTRATES — the group Eurycoma Longifolia interacts with.

Theoretically, Eurycoma longifolia might increase levels of CYP2C19 substrates.
In vitro research suggests that methanolic Eurycoma longifolia root extract weakly inhibits CYP2C19 enzymes. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the honest picture with Symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) and tongkat ali. In a lab dish, this herb very weakly slowed down an enzyme called CYP2C19, which helps your body break down certain medicines. In theory, if that enzyme were blocked, a little more of the drug could hang around. For Symbicort that might mean slightly more of its usual effects, like a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, shakiness, or a touch more throat irritation.

The thing is, this was only seen in test tubes, never in actual people, and it's rated a minor, theoretical concern. Most folks won't notice anything. Still, if you start a tongkat ali supplement, it's worth a quick word with your pharmacist or doctor.
