Sofosbuvir, Velpatasvir, Voxilaprevir falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Eurycoma Longifolia interacts with.

Theoretically, Eurycoma longifolia might increase levels CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research suggests that methanolic Eurycoma longifolia root extract weakly inhibits CYP1A2 enzymes. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the honest version: the concern on file is that tongkat ali (Eurycoma longifolia) might slow down a liver enzyme called CYP1A2, which could let drugs handled by that enzyme build up a bit. But this comes from a lab dish study only, where the effect was weak, and it has never actually been seen in people. So it's a theoretical flag, not a proven problem.

On top of that, Vosevi (sofosbuvir, velpatasvir, voxilaprevir) isn't a drug that relies heavily on CYP1A2, so any real-world overlap here is likely small. Still, hepatitis C treatment is too important to risk muddying. Because Vosevi taxes the liver and adding herbal products can complicate things, I'd run tongkat ali by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

What Is Sofosbuvir, Velpatasvir, and Voxilaprevir Used For?

Brand name: Vosevi

Vosevi is used to treat chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in adults who do not have cirrhosis or who have compensated cirrhosis (mild liver scarring that is still functioning). It is specifically for people who have already been treated with an HCV regimen before and need a different option.

Vosevi is approved for adults with HCV genotype 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 who previously took a medicine that included an NS5A inhibitor. It is also approved for adults with genotype 1a or 3 who previously took sofosbuvir without an NS5A inhibitor.
