The product you're asking about pairs aspirin with two antacids (aluminum and magnesium hydroxide). The piece that matters here is the aspirin, which already thins the blood by keeping platelets from clumping together. Evodia contains a compound called rutaecarpine that, in test-tube and animal studies, seems to do something similar. Stack the two and you could, in theory, raise the odds of easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or stomach bleeding.

I want to be honest about the evidence: this is based only on lab and animal research, not on people, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. Still, since aspirin itself affects bleeding, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you take aspirin daily for your heart.

What Is Aspirin Used For?

Brand name: Ascriptin

Aspirin is used to temporarily relieve minor aches and pains from headaches, backaches, muscle aches, toothaches, menstrual cramps, the common cold, and minor arthritis pain. It also temporarily reduces fever.

Some coated aspirin tablet products note that, under a doctor's supervision, aspirin can help prevent another heart attack or stroke in adults who have already had one. Because of their delayed-release design, those coated products will not give fast relief for headaches or other symptoms needing quick relief.
