Flaxseed Oil + Methazolamide
Methazolamide brand name: Neptazane.
Flaxseed Oil has a moderate interaction with Methazolamide. Theoretically, combining flaxseed oil with other antihypertensive drugs might have additive effects and increase the risk of hypotension.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Methazolamide
Methazolamide falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Flaxseed Oil interacts with.
Some clinical evidence suggests that long-term consumption of flaxseed oil can modestly lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure, while other clinical research shows no effect.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the situation with flaxseed oil and methazolamide (Neptazane). You're mainly using methazolamide for glaucoma, but it can have a mild effect of nudging blood pressure and fluid balance downward, partly because it acts a bit like a water pill. Flaxseed oil, in some studies, may modestly lower blood pressure too. Put them together and there's a theoretical chance of an additive dip in blood pressure.
I want to be honest: this is based on pharmacology reasoning, not strong proof, and the blood pressure research on flaxseed is mixed. Watch for things like lightheadedness, dizziness when standing up, or feeling unusually tired. If you notice that, or you take other blood pressure medicines, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Methazolamide page
“Methazolamide (Neptazane) treats glaucoma by lowering pressure inside the eye, and because it also has mild water-pill effects it can nudge blood pressure and potassium on its own. That is exactly where most of the 218 supplements on this page press, and the list earns real caution.”

About Methazolamide
What Is Methazolamide Used For?
Brand name: Neptazane
Methazolamide tablets are used to treat eye conditions where lowering intraocular pressure (pressure inside the eye) is expected to help. These include chronic open-angle glaucoma and secondary glaucoma.
Methazolamide tablets are also used before surgery in acute angle-closure glaucoma, when reducing eye pressure ahead of the procedure is needed. Note that long-term use in angle-closure glaucoma is not appropriate.
