Flaxseed + Minoxidil
Minoxidil brand names: Loniten, Rogaine, Minoxidil.
Flaxseed has a moderate interaction with Minoxidil. Theoretically, flaxseed might have additive effects when used with antihypertensive drugs and increase the risk of hypotension.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Minoxidil
Minoxidil falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Flaxseed interacts with.
Clinical research shows that daily flaxseed consumption, especially for longer than 12 weeks, modestly reduces blood pressure.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
When you take minoxidil as a blood pressure pill (Loniten), it relaxes your blood vessels to lower your pressure. Flaxseed, eaten regularly over many weeks, may nudge your blood pressure down a little on its own. Put the two together and you could get a slightly bigger drop than expected.
In real life that might show up as feeling lightheaded, dizzy, or woozy when you stand up, or just more tired than usual. To be clear, this is a theoretical concern based on how both work, not something seen as a strong, proven problem. A serving of flax on your oatmeal is unlikely to matter much. If you use concentrated flax supplements daily, it is worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on your readings.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Minoxidil page
“American hellebore heads the concerns for anyone taking minoxidil (Loniten, Rogaine), because even small amounts of its alkaloids lower blood pressure on their own, a dangerous match with one of the most potent pressure-lowering drugs prescribed. It is one of four major-rated entries among the 139 supplements and herbs on record, and t…”

Minoxidil Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Minoxidil as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Flaxseed — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
