Here's the concern with pairing these two. Minoxidil is a vasodilator, meaning it relaxes and widens your blood vessels to bring blood pressure down. American Hellebore does something similar on its own, dropping blood pressure and also slowing the heart rate. When you stack two things that both push in the same direction, the effects can pile up.

Together, this could send your blood pressure too low and your heart rate down with it. Think dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, a racing or pounding heart as your body tries to compensate, or even dangerous heart rhythm changes. Honestly, this plant is genuinely toxic and isn't a safe supplement to begin with. Please don't take any product containing it without talking to your pharmacist or doctor first.

Minoxidil tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) — specifically in patients who haven't responded well to other blood pressure medications. They are a powerful option reserved for difficult-to-control cases.
