Fluorouracil, often called 5-FU, is a chemotherapy drug given through an IV to fight certain cancers. Part of how it works is by slowing down rapidly dividing cells, and it can also dampen the immune system. The concern here is theoretical: in animal and lab studies, fulvic acid appears to stimulate immune activity. In a worst-case scenario, that could work against the immune-related effects of your treatment, though we honestly have no human studies showing this actually happens with 5-FU.

Because chemotherapy is carefully dosed and closely monitored, I would not add fulvic acid on your own while you are receiving fluorouracil. Please run it by your oncologist or pharmacist first so they can weigh in for your situation.
