Garcinia + Levomilnacipran
Levomilnacipran brand name: Fetzima.
Garcinia has a moderate interaction with Levomilnacipran. Theoretically, combining garcinia with other serotonergic drugs might increase the risk of serotonergic side effects, including serotonin syndrome.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
SEROTONERGIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Levomilnacipran
Levomilnacipran falls under SEROTONERGIC DRUGS — the group Garcinia interacts with.
In one report, a patient experienced serotonin syndrome after taking garcinia extract (60% hydroxycitric acid) 1000 mg daily in combination with escitalopram 20 mg, which had been taken for a year. The patient was switched to sertraline 50 mg daily and again experienced serotonin syndrome.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the concern with pairing Garcinia and your Fetzima (levomilnacipran). Levomilnacipran is an SNRI that already raises serotonin in your brain. Garcinia may nudge serotonin activity upward too, and stacking the two could push serotonin a little too high. That's what we call serotonin syndrome.
What might that look like? Things like agitation, a racing heart, sweating, shivering, tremor, muscle twitching, or stomach upset. To be fair, this is mostly theoretical, with just a rare case report behind it, so it isn't common. Still, since both affect serotonin, I'd play it safe. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding Garcinia rather than starting it on your own.
