Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CAFFEINE
Taking genistein 1 gram daily for 14 days seems to inhibit caffeine clearance and metabolism in healthy females. This effect has been attributed to inhibition of the cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) enzyme, which is involved in caffeine metabolism.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version. Your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP1A2 to break down and clear caffeine. The genistein in GCP appears to slow that enzyme down. When clearance slows, the caffeine in your system sticks around longer and can build up, which means a normal dose may hit harder and last longer than you expect.
In real terms, that could show up as a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, anxiety, an upset stomach, or trouble sleeping. This comes from a small human study (a 1 gram daily genistein dose over two weeks), so it's a real but modest concern, not a dramatic one. If you take this combo regularly, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Caffeine , Sodium Benzoate page
“Caffeine and sodium benzoate is itself a stimulant medication, so the supplements most likely to cause trouble are the ones doing the same job. Seven of the 208 ingredients on file rate major, several of them stimulant herbs such as ephedra that can pile extra blood pressure and heart strain onto a drug already revving the nervous system.”
