Rescinnamine falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Goldenseal interacts with.

Theoretically, goldenseal might increase the risk of hypotension when taken with antihypertensive drugs.
Goldenseal contains berberine. Animal research shows that berberine can have hypotensive effects. Also, an analysis of clinical research shows that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with amlodipine alone. However, this effect has not been reported with goldenseal.

Here's the gist: Rescinnamine (Moderil) is an older blood pressure medicine that works by calming nerve signals that keep your vessels tight, so your pressure comes down. Goldenseal contains berberine, which in animal studies and some human research on berberine itself appears to nudge blood pressure lower too. Stacked together, the worry is that they could lower your pressure a little more than expected.

If that happened, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, tired, or woozy when standing up quickly. I'll be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on how things work, not something clearly reported with goldenseal in real patients, so don't panic. Still, please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before adding goldenseal, and don't change your Rescinnamine on your own.
