Here's what stands out with Fiorinal with Codeine: this combo already packs two ingredients that calm the brain down, the butalbital (a barbiturate) and the codeine (an opioid). Both can leave you feeling drowsy, foggy, dizzy, or slowed in your breathing. In an animal study, guarumo on its own had a sedating, muscle-relaxing effect. So the concern is simple addition, stacking one sedative on top of another and ending up more sleepy or unsteady than expected.

Keep in mind this is only theoretical and comes from animal research, not human studies, so I wouldn't panic. Still, with strong medicines like these, I'd play it safe. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing guarumo with this medication.
