Metformin, Linagliptin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Guarumo interacts with.

Some clinical evidence suggests that drinking tea prepared with guarumo leaf might lower blood glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes. Theoretically, guarumo might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, metformin (Glucophage), pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the simple version: Jentadueto already lowers your blood sugar with two ingredients, metformin and linagliptin. Guarumo leaf tea may nudge your blood sugar down too. So when you sip this tea regularly while taking Jentadueto, the two can stack up and push your sugar lower than you intended.

That can lead to low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), with symptoms like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a fast heartbeat, or feeling foggy. The evidence here is fairly limited, so this isn't a sure thing, but it's worth watching. If you'd like to try guarumo, please loop in your pharmacist or doctor first, check your blood sugar more closely, and don't change your Jentadueto dose on your own.
