Nitrendipine is a calcium channel blocker, so its main job is to relax and widen your blood vessels and bring your blood pressure down. Here's the thing about hawthorn: it seems to do something similar, gently relaxing blood vessels too. When you stack the two, the worry is that their effects could add up and push your blood pressure a little lower than intended.

In real life that might show up as dizziness, lightheadedness (especially when you stand up quickly), headache, flushing, or feeling unusually tired. I'll be honest with you though, this is a theoretical concern based on how both work, not something proven to happen often. Still, before adding hawthorn, please check with your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on your blood pressure.
