Bellafoline, Phenobarbital falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) INDUCERS — the group Hemp Agrimony interacts with.

Hemp agrimony contains hepatotoxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PA) which are substrates of cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4). Theoretically, drugs that induce CYP3A4 might increase the conversion of PAs to toxic metabolites. Some drugs that induce CYP3A4 include carbamazepine (Tegretol), phenobarbital, phenytoin (Dilantin), rifampin, rifabutin (Mycobutin), and others.

Here's the key thing to understand about this combo. Hemp agrimony naturally contains compounds called pyrrolizidine alkaloids, which can already be hard on the liver. The phenobarbital in Belladenal speeds up a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. That same enzyme is what turns those plant alkaloids into more toxic byproducts. So in theory, taking them together could nudge your liver toward making more of the harmful breakdown products, not less.

I want to be honest that this concern comes from lab and animal work, not from solid human studies, so it's more of a cautionary flag than a proven danger. Still, hemp agrimony isn't really recommended for internal use to begin with. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and don't change your phenobarbital on your own.
