Bosentan falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Hemp Agrimony interacts with.

Hemp agrimony contains hepatotoxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PA). Theoretically, using hemp agrimony with hepatotoxic drugs might have additive adverse effects on the liver. Some drugs that can adversely affect the liver include acetaminophen (Tylenol and others), amiodarone (Cordarone), carbamazepine (Tegretol), isoniazid (INH), methotrexate (Rheumatrex), methyldopa (Aldomet), fluconazole (Diflucan), itraconazole (Sporanox), erythromycin (Erythrocin, Ilosone, others), phenytoin (Dilantin), lovastatin (Mevacor), pravastatin (Pravachol), simvastatin (Zocor), and many others.

Here's the concern with pairing hemp agrimony and bosentan (Tracleer). Bosentan is already known to be tough on the liver, which is exactly why your doctor checks your liver enzymes with regular blood tests while you're on it. Hemp agrimony can contain pyrrolizidine alkaloids, natural compounds that may damage the liver too. Putting two liver stressors together could, in theory, add up and raise your risk of liver trouble.

To be clear, this is a theoretical concern based on how both work, not something proven in studies. Still, with a drug like bosentan, I'd play it safe. Watch for warning signs like yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, nausea, or belly pain, and please check with your pharmacist or doctor before using any hemp agrimony product.

Hemp agrimony is a traditional European herb that has been used for digestion, colds, and as a general tonic, but there is very little reliable human research to support these uses. What Is Bosentan Used For?

Brand name: Tracleer

Bosentan is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) — high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs. In adults, it helps improve the ability to exercise and slows how quickly the disease gets worse.

In children aged 3 years and older with idiopathic (no known cause) or congenital (present from birth) PAH, bosentan is used to lower resistance in the lung blood vessels, which is expected to improve exercise ability. Tracleer is one brand approved for both adults and pediatric patients with PAH.
