Bumetanide, Potassium falls under DIURETIC DRUGS — the group Ilex Guayusa interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might increase the risk of hypokalemia.
Ilex guayusa contains caffeine. Caffeine, especially in excessive amounts, can reduce potassium levels due to stimulation of the sodium-potassium pump. Diuretics can also cause lower potassium levels.

Your Burinex K combines bumetanide, a strong water pill, with added potassium. Bumetanide already pushes potassium out through your urine, which is exactly why the potassium is bundled in. Here's the concern with guayusa: it's basically a caffeine-rich tea, and caffeine in larger amounts can nudge potassium out of your bloodstream and into your cells. Stack that on top of a diuretic, and in theory your potassium could dip lower than you'd want.

I'll be honest, this is a theoretical worry based on how these things work, not strong human proof, and a cup or two of guayusa likely won't matter much. But low potassium can cause muscle cramps, weakness, or an irregular heartbeat, so check with your pharmacist or doctor before drinking it regularly.
