Aliskiren falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Isopropylnorsynephrine interacts with.

Theoretically, isopropylnorsynephrine might decrease the effects of antihypertensive drugs.
In vitro research shows that isopropylnorsynephrine is a highly selective, direct-acting beta-adrenergic receptor agonist with positive chronotropic effects, and hypertension has been reported in patients taking combination products containing isopropylnorsynephrine and other stimulants.

Here's the simple version: you take aliskiren (Tekturna) to bring your blood pressure down. Isopropylnorsynephrine is a stimulant, and stimulants like this one tend to nudge heart rate and blood pressure up. So the two are essentially pulling in opposite directions, which could blunt how well your aliskiren controls your numbers.

Honestly, the evidence here is thin. It's based mostly on lab and animal research, plus a few reports of high blood pressure when people combined it with other stimulants. We can't say for sure how big the effect is in real life. Still, since the whole point of aliskiren is steady blood pressure control, I'd run any supplement with this ingredient past your pharmacist or doctor first, and don't change your aliskiren on your own.

What Is Aliskiren Used For?

Aliskiren tablets — available as the brand Tekturna and as generic aliskiren — are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and in children who are at least 6 years old and weigh 50 kg (about 110 lbs) or more. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks.

Controlling blood pressure is most effective as part of a broader plan that may include healthy eating, exercise, reducing sodium, and managing other risk factors like cholesterol and blood sugar. Many people need more than one blood pressure medicine to reach their goal.
