Naratriptan falls under SEROTONERGIC DRUGS — the group Kratom interacts with.

Theoretically, taking kratom in combination with serotonergic drugs may increase levels of serotonin, increasing the risk of serotonin syndrome.
A 63-year-old male presented with possible serotonin syndrome after taking an unknown dose of kratom for up to 3 months along with serotonergic prescription medications bupropion, buspirone, desvenlafaxine, trazodone, and ziprasidone. It was hypothesized that kratom inhibited the cytochrome P450 3A4-, 2C9-, 2D6-, and 1A2-mediated metabolism of several of these serotonergic medications, consequently increasing systemic exposure to serotonin.

Here's the concern with combining kratom and naratriptan (Amerge). Naratriptan works on serotonin receptors to help stop a migraine. Kratom can also nudge serotonin activity in the brain. When you stack two things that raise serotonin signaling, there's a theoretical risk of serotonin syndrome, which can cause agitation, a fast heartbeat, shaking, sweating, muscle twitching, and confusion.

I want to be honest about how solid this is: the evidence here is weak, mostly a single case report involving other medicines, not naratriptan specifically. So this is more of a cautious heads-up than a sure thing. Kratom carries its own real risks too. Please don't start or stop anything on your own. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor first so they can look at your full picture.

Naratriptan tablets are used to treat migraine attacks as they happen — with or without aura (the visual or sensory changes that can come before a migraine). It works during an active attack, not as a daily preventive medication.

It is not approved to prevent migraines from starting, and it has not been shown to work for cluster headaches. A confirmed diagnosis of migraine should be in place before using it.
