ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Celiprolol
Celiprolol falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Maitake Mushroom interacts with.
Animal research shows that maitake mushroom can lower blood pressure.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: Celiprolol is a beta-blocker that helps lower your blood pressure. Maitake mushroom, at least in animal studies, also appears to nudge blood pressure down. Put the two together and the worry is that they could add up, pushing your numbers lower than intended.
If that happened, you might notice things like dizziness, lightheadedness (especially when standing up), tiredness, or a slower heartbeat. I want to be honest with you though: this concern is theoretical, based mostly on lab and animal work, not solid human studies. Eating maitake as food is unlikely to cause trouble, but concentrated supplements are a bigger question mark. If you want to try one, check in with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your blood pressure.

About Maitake Mushroom
What is Maitake Mushroom?
- Immune support
- Blood sugar support in diabetes
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- General wellness and antioxidant support
Maitake is an edible mushroom long used as food and in traditional Japanese medicine, and it is being studied for possible immune, blood sugar, and blood pressure effects. The human evidence is still limited and not strong enough to recommend it as a treatment. It is generally well tolerated as food, but talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated supplements.

Celiprolol Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Celiprolol as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Maitake Mushroom — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
