Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Diroximel Fumarate
Diroximel Fumarate falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Neem interacts with.
Animal research suggests that neem might have immunostimulant effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the idea behind this pairing. Vumerity (diroximel fumarate) works by calming down an overactive immune system to ease your MS. Neem, on the other hand, has shown signs in lab and animal studies of revving the immune system up a bit. So in theory, neem could push against what your medication is trying to do, possibly making it a little less effective at controlling flare-ups.
I want to be honest with you though: this concern comes only from test-tube and animal research, not from people taking these two together. So it's more of a 'good to know' than a 'red alert.' Still, since MS treatment is something you don't want to gamble with, please run any neem supplement by your neurologist or pharmacist before starting it.

About Neem
What is Neem?
- Skin conditions
- Dental and gum health
- Antimicrobial and antiparasitic
- Digestive upset
- Blood sugar support
- Insect repellent/pesticide
Neem is a tree from India used for centuries in traditional medicine, especially for skin, dental, and antimicrobial purposes. Some small studies are promising for oral health and skin, but high-quality human evidence is limited for most uses. Neem oil and seed extracts can be toxic if swallowed, especially in children, so use with caution and talk to your pharmacist or doctor first.
