Neem + Fluticasone
Fluticasone brand names: Flovent, Flonase, Flixotide, Seretide, Veramyst.
Neem has a moderate interaction with Fluticasone. Theoretically, neem leaf extract might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Fluticasone
Fluticasone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Neem interacts with.
In vitro research shows that neem leaf methanol extract inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes. So far, this reaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the basic idea: your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to break down fluticasone, the steroid in Flonase, Flovent, and similar products. In lab tests, neem leaf extract seems to slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let more fluticasone hang around in your system than usual.
For most people using fluticasone in a nasal spray or inhaler, very little gets into the bloodstream, so this is unlikely to cause trouble. But if levels did climb, you could see more steroid-type effects over time, like easy bruising, trouble sleeping, or mood changes. I'll be honest though, this is only based on test-tube research and hasn't been seen in real patients. Just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on things.

About Neem
What is Neem?
- Skin conditions
- Dental and gum health
- Antimicrobial and antiparasitic
- Digestive upset
- Blood sugar support
- Insect repellent/pesticide
Neem is a tree from India used for centuries in traditional medicine, especially for skin, dental, and antimicrobial purposes. Some small studies are promising for oral health and skin, but high-quality human evidence is limited for most uses. Neem oil and seed extracts can be toxic if swallowed, especially in children, so use with caution and talk to your pharmacist or doctor first.

Fluticasone Is Linked to Lower Levels of 8 Nutrients
Natural Medicines records Fluticasone as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Neem — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
