Here's the simple version: oral minoxidil (Loniten) is a strong blood pressure medicine that works by relaxing your blood vessels. Some early research hints that noni juice may lower blood pressure on its own. So when you pair the two, the worry is that your pressure could drop a little too much. That might leave you feeling lightheaded, dizzy, weak, or even faint, especially when you stand up quickly.

I want to be honest, though: this concern rests on anecdotal, theoretical evidence, not solid studies, so for most people it's a mild caution rather than a red flag. Occasional juice is unlikely to matter much, but concentrated supplements are harder to predict. If you take minoxidil for blood pressure, check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding noni. (This isn't a concern for topical Rogaine.)

What Is Minoxidil Used For?

Minoxidil tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) — specifically in patients who haven't responded well to other blood pressure medications. They are a powerful option reserved for difficult-to-control cases.

Topical minoxidil products — including solutions, sprays, gels, and foams from many brands — are used to regrow hair on the top of the scalp (called the vertex). Products labeled for men and for women may differ; for example, Bosley MD Regular Strength for Women and Dizop Minoxidil Topical Gel are each labeled for their specific intended users.
