Here's the simple version: both noni and ciprofloxacin can, in rare cases, stress the liver. Cipro is known to occasionally raise liver enzymes, and noni juice has a handful of case reports linking it to liver trouble. The worry is that using them together might add to that risk. I want to be honest though, this is mostly theoretical and based on scattered anecdotal reports, not strong studies.

For most people taking a short antibiotic course, this isn't a major alarm. But watch for warning signs like yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, nausea, or unusual tiredness. If you have any liver concerns or drink noni regularly, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Ciprofloxacin belongs to a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones. It's prescribed to treat bacterial infections in many parts of the body — including the urinary tract, skin, lungs, bones, joints, and digestive system. It's also used to protect against or treat anthrax and plague after exposure.

Because ciprofloxacin carries real risks, it's reserved for milder conditions like sinus infections, simple bladder infections, and flare-ups of chronic bronchitis only when there are no safer alternatives available.
