Here's the simple version: noni juice may gently lower blood pressure on its own. Metolazone is already a water pill that helps your body shed extra salt and fluid, which also brings blood pressure down. Put the two together and their effects can stack, so your pressure could drop a little lower than expected.

If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, or woozy when you stand up, especially since metolazone already makes you urinate more and can leave you a bit dehydrated. This concern is theoretical and based only on anecdotal reports, so it's not a strong red flag. Still, if you'd like to try noni, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor first, and let them know if you feel faint.

Noni is a tropical fruit used widely in folk medicine and sold mostly as a juice or supplement, but solid human evidence for its many claimed benefits is limited. While moderate juice intake is generally well tolerated, there are rare reports of liver problems, and it should be avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it, especially if you have kidney or liver disease.

What Is Metolazone Used For?

Brand names: Diulo, Zaroxolyn, Mykrox

Metolazone tablets are used to treat edema (excess fluid buildup) linked to congestive heart failure or kidney diseases — including nephrotic syndrome and conditions with reduced kidney function. They are also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), either alone or alongside other blood pressure medications.

Metolazone tablets may also be used during pregnancy when edema is caused by a medical condition rather than normal pregnancy changes — but routine use in otherwise healthy pregnant women is not appropriate.
