Here's the simple version: both noni and Besremi (ropeginterferon alfa-2b) can, on their own, occasionally be tough on the liver. Besremi is already known to sometimes raise liver enzymes, and your care team likely checks bloodwork because of that. Noni has a handful of rare case reports linking it to liver trouble too. The worry is that stacking two things that each stress the liver could add up.

To be honest, this is mostly a theoretical, anecdotal concern, not something proven in studies. But since you're being monitored anyway, it's smart to play it safe. Watch for warning signs like yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness, and check with your pharmacist or oncologist before adding noni.

What Is Ropeginterferon alfa-2b Used For?

Brand name: Besremi

BESREMi (ropeginterferon alfa-2b) is used to treat two conditions in adults: polycythemia vera, a bone marrow disorder where the body makes too many red blood cells, and essential thrombocythemia, a condition where the bone marrow makes too many platelets.

Both conditions are given as subcutaneous (under-the-skin) injections of BESREMi, including the BESREMi Pen delivery option.
