Here's the simple version. Noni has been linked, in a handful of case reports, to liver irritation in certain people. Tagraxofusp (Elzonris) is a powerful cancer treatment that can also be hard on the liver. In fact, this drug is known to raise liver enzymes and, more seriously, it can trigger a dangerous condition called capillary leak syndrome. So the worry is simply that two things that may stress the liver could add up.

This concern is theoretical and based on weak, anecdotal evidence, so I don't want to alarm you. But because your treatment team is already watching your liver closely, it's smart not to add noni juice or supplements on your own. Please check with your oncologist or pharmacist before using noni while on this medication.

What Is Tagraxofusp-erzs Injection Used For?

Brand name: Elzonris

  • Tagraxofusp-erzs injection is used to treat blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN; a blood cancer that causes skin lesions, and may spread to the bone marrow and lymphatic system) in adults and children 2 years of age and older. Tagraxofusp-erzs is in a class of medications called CD123 cytotoxin. It works by killing cancer cells.
