Here's the concern with pairing noni with Ukoniq (umbralisib). Umbralisib already carries a known risk of liver problems, and your care team likely checks your liver bloodwork regularly while you're on it. Noni juice has its own rare reports of liver trouble, so the worry is simply that stacking two things that can stress the liver might add up.

To be fair, this is a theoretical caution based on scattered case reports, not strong proof. But since umbralisib can raise liver enzymes on its own, I'd play it safe and not add noni without a green light. Watch for yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness, and please check with your oncologist or pharmacist before using noni.

About Umbralisib

What Is Umbralisib Used For?

Brand name: Ukoniq

  • Umbralisib is used to treat marginal zone lymphoma (MZL; a slow growing cancer that begins in a type of white blood cells that normally fight infection) in adults whose cancer has returned or did not respond to a certain type of medication. It is also used to treat follicular lymphoma (FL; a type of cancer that begins in the white blood cells) in adults whose cancer has returned or did not respond to at least three other medications. Umbralisib is in a class of medications called kinase inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This helps stop the spread of cancer cells.
