Octopamine + Fenfluamine
Fenfluamine brand name: Fintepla.
We found no known interaction between Octopamine and Fenfluamine in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first. Additionally, although there is no interaction, the two are separately associated with some of the same side effects, which would make a new symptom harder to attribute to one or the other.
Octopamine and Fenfluamine
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Fenfluamine and Octopamine in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Fenfluamine
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Fenfluamine is filed under 7 classifications — including cytochrome p450 2b6 (cyp2b6) substrates, serotonergic drugs, serotonergic drugs. Octopamine has documented interactions with 3 drug classes — the most serious being antihypertensive drugs (moderate), monoamine oxidase inhibitors (maois) (moderate) and stimulant drugs (minor) — and none of Fenfluamine’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.
Octopamine Does Interact With Other Medications
Octopamine has 181 moderate, 171 minor known drug interactions in our database — Fenfluamine isn’t one of them. If you take anything else, check it against the full list below.

See Every Supplement That Interacts With Fenfluamine
This page covers Octopamine only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Fenfluamine page lists 182 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: 1,4-butanediol (major), Activated Charcoal (major), Beer (major), Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (ghb) (major) and Kava (major).
By severity: 8 major · 141 moderate · 33 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Fenfluamine page
“Alcohol is the danger I would flag first here. Fenfluamine (Fintepla) treats seizures in severe childhood epilepsies such as Dravet syndrome, and it is sedating by itself, so beer, wine, kava, and the other sedating ingredients on this page, 78 in all, can pile extra drowsiness on top, at worst to the point of suppressed breathing.”

- Citation library: 103,510 references behind our interaction content, 65,311 of them resolved to verified PubMed/DOI sources. See every Octopamine reference on this page ↓
- Freshness: we automatically re-check this combination every week — this pair was last verified September 13, 2026. The Octopamine and Fenfluamine records this page draws on were last updated July 10, 2026.
- What “no known interaction” means: no documented interaction in the sources above — not a guarantee of safety. Supplements are studied far less than prescription drugs, so we say exactly what the evidence supports, and nothing more.
About Octopamine
What is Octopamine?
- Weight loss and fat burning
- Boosting energy
- Athletic performance
- Appetite suppression
Octopamine is a stimulant-like compound found in small amounts in some plants (such as bitter orange) and made naturally in the body. It is marketed mostly in weight-loss and sports supplements, but human evidence that it actually helps with fat loss or performance is very limited. Because it can affect the heart and blood pressure and is banned in some sports, talk to a pharmacist or doctor before using it.
Octopamine is a naturally occurring compound; supplement forms are usually synthetic or derived from bitter orange (Citrus aurantium) peel · Capsules, tablets, powders (often in fat-burner and pre-workout blends)
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Octopamine is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Octopamine record says about it on its own.
Octopamine: dosing
There is no well-established, standardized dose for octopamine as a supplement. It usually appears in combination products, and amounts vary widely from one brand to another. If you choose to use a product containing octopamine, follow the directions on the label and do not exceed them.

About Fenfluramine
What Is Fenfluramine Used For?
Brand name: Fintepla
Fintepla (fenfluramine oral solution) is approved to treat seizures associated with Dravet syndrome (DS) and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS) in patients 2 years of age and older. It is used alongside other antiseizure medications.
Both conditions are severe, often hard-to-control forms of epilepsy that typically begin in childhood. Fintepla is available only through a restricted program called the Fintepla REMS because of serious heart-related risks.
